Leek sniffled, her brown hair strewn over her shoulders in shambles. She hated feeling so alone. Why did her Prince have to chose the wretched human female as her mate? Why? She didn't understand it, and it frustrated her. Her pillow was stained with tears. If only she could switch places for a moment... Have her rightful spot next to her prince.
A knock on her door made her look up.
"O-one second please..." she sniffled. She didn't wanat to appear like this to whoever was at the door. She shuffled to the bathroom and quickly dried her eyes and wiped her nose. After 30 seconds, she looked as good as normal. Then she headed to the door. She didn't expect it to be anyone of importance, so she didn't bother checking the peephole.
She opened her door easily without care.
"Hello-?" She blinked, not sure if she was seeing correctly. Standing directly in front of her was Vegeta, her beloved prince, dressed in his usual blue jumpsuit. She stiffled a gasp, startled to see him here. What one earth was he doing here? Surely it couldn't be of any importance...
"Leek, I have something I need to discuss with you." the prince said in a somewhat apologetic tone. But Leek was too excited at his presence to think anything of it. Perhaps this was of some significance.
"Wh-what do we need to discuss?" she squeaked, looking up into his handsome face.
"Us." he said simply. Her heart jumped. She tried to keep her hope from rising. He probably wanted to discuss something petty.
"Erm, what about us?
I think I've made a terrible mistake with Bulma... She isn't the one I love." Leek's eyes widened, her heart thumping faster. He couldn't mean...
"Who do you love then...?" She just barely dared to believe what he meant...
"You know who." A moment later he leaned down, placing his lips to her's. Her heart lept with a joy and happiness that she never knew existed. At last, her greatest and only desire was coming to fruition! She would finally be married to her beloved prince, for now and ever. She wrapped her arms around his waist lovingly. She kissed back with all the passion in her lithe body, as if trying to make their bodies meld together. How exhilerating!
But then she felt a change. A physical one. The face her's was pressing against shifted in shape, along with the body attatched to it. She opened her eyes to try and make sense of the change.
But she was not looking at Vegeta now. She now saw pale pink skin and huge ears. She felt the body seem to shrink and now weigh down in her arms. She pulled back, her lips trembling. Oolong! Her heart seemed to shatter, all the hope she had felt draining from her. Her happiness turned to horror and despair, her misery from before returning ten-fold. Tears welled in her eyes as she sank to her knees, dropping the shapeshifter.
"Sorry Miss... But I couldn't help myself." he chuckled, seemingly oblivious to her misery. She smirked smugly, licking his lips and scuttling away. Leek didn't even bother shutting her door as she crawled to her bed, once more being swallowed up in self-loathing and sadness. Would it never end...?
