"Darn wind..." Bass muttered, using one of her hands to brush some of her golden blond hair out of her face. Earlier a strong gust of wind had wisked her brand new hat off of her head and into a tall tree. Not about to give up her brand new piece of apparel the young lady was now trying to climb up the tree and retrieve her hat. It was hard going though. The tree swung slowly in the continuing wind and repeatedly shoved her blond hair back into her eyes. But she was a determined one.
"I'm not giving up that easy!" she growled at the wind, still grabbing and pulling herself higher into the tree. As if in a taunting response another strong gust of wind shook the tree and sent a thin tree branch at her face, smacking her across the bridge of her nose.
"Youch!" she yelped, clasping her face with both hands. Her nose was red, but luckily not bleeding. Bass shouldn't have however, taken her hands off of the branches during the strong windes...
Another strong gust came and the same branch came at her again, this time sending poor Bass wheeling backwards and out of the tree. Bass shrieked as she began a 20 foot tumble to the ground beneath her, not something she wanted to experience. She waved her arms and kicked her legs to no avail, but by some miracle managed to avoid the branches that would have bruised her badly.
But by some bizzare stroke of luck, Bass didn't land on the hard ground but in the outstretched arms of someone. Her eyes were shut tight, still not having registered that her fall had stopped. After a moment she slowly opened her eyes, finding herself in the cradling arms of... Goku? She blinked, surprised. But then she realized that it wasn't Goku. The darker shade of skin gave him away.
Staring back at her was an equally surprised Turles, who was now looking at Bass with shock. All he wanted to do was stretch his arms and a saiyan girl lands in his arms. Talk about odd!
"Oh, um, sorry sir... I didn't mean to land on you..." Bass bubbled, blushing. She couldn't help but somewhat enjoy feeling the strongly muscled saiyan's arms underneath her back and legs. His arms were very solid yet pleasantly smooth.
"I see... Well, that won't be a problem. I didn't mean to catch you either, so I guess we're even." Turles laughed, hefting the paler half saiyan a bit higher in the air. Bass yelped but then laughed as she came back down, realizing he was simply playing with her. She landed again in his arms, giggling.
"Say, what were you doing up in that tree anyway?" Turles asked curiously.
"Oh! I was tyring to get my hat but the stupid wind knocked me down." Bass admitted, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
"Is that all? Well, how about I help you get it?" Bass smiled pleasantly.
"You would do that for me?" she asked, batting her feathery eyelashes.
"Sure! Just hold on." Turles advised, smiling.
"What do you-?" But Bass's question was cut short as Turles tossed her high up, shocking her. For a moment she hung suspended in midair as the momentum ran out. But during that moment she spotted her hat right next to her hanging on a branch. She quickly nabbed it, and just in time too. Just after she retrieved it she fell back down to Earth and once more plopped into Turles's embrace.
"Thanks for your help!" she giggled, reaching over and hugging her new friend, wrapping her slender arms around his neck.
"Not a problem." he replied, putting his own arms around her hips firmly.
