Bass smiled, combing her hair enthusiastically. She had been waiting for this party night for weeks! She had a date set up, a good ride, and her kids had the best babysitter one could ask for. Bass had learned long ago that Darak was good with her children and that they enjoyed him as well. Even now she could hear the kids giggling happily in the other room as they were skillfully managed by their sitter. She had everything covered!
She reached down to her bathroom counter to apply her lipstick but came up empty handed. She looked down. The red lipstick she had set there earlier was gone. What happened to it? She checked another drawer which contained her other colored lipsticks.
"Hey! Whats going on here?" she cried. Her drawer was completely empty! Had she been robbed? She brushed away that idea quickly. What kind of idiot would take her lipstick and leave her jewelry? She began rummaging through her entire room for her missing pieces but came up with nothing. She sighed.
"I guess I'll have to go without my precious lipstick." Pulling up her handbag on her shoulder she walked into the family room to announce her departing.
"Alright kids, you behave for the sitter now-" Bass blinked at what she saw. There were sheets of paper scattered over the ground that her children scribbled on. But not with crayons or colored pencils.
"What is this?" She demanded.
"Oh! The kids wanted to draw earlier, but I couldn't find any regular coloring impliments. So... I found these special ones!" Darak held up the special tube of lipstick she had chosen earlier. Darak and her kids were still scribbling all over pieces of paper with her tubes of lipstick without any idea that they had stolen one of her most vital look tools. Her cheeks flushed.
Perhaps Darak wasn't the greatest choice after all...
